The present paper departs from the premise that the religious sphere cannot be suppressed totally of the political life. The secularization of politics does not involve the desecration, does not imply the disappearance of religion in political life, but its concealment. From this point of view, we introduce some theoretical considerations on the political ritual, to stop in the ritual of presidential assumption of Cristina Fernandez’s second term, analyzing the different thresholds that the incorporation of “him” in the oath of capture of the power, alluding to Néstor Kirchner, opens. If this oath is a performative as we suspect, what novel element executes this innovation in the formula? We also focus in an analysis of the singular role played by civic feast that take place during the government.
