This article offers empirical evidence about the structural and individual factors that contribute to explain the degree of agreement / disagreement to the Law of Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy. The work shows the results of a stratified national web-survey of N = 1002 conducting in 2018, during the months in which the project was discussed by the Honorable Congress of the Nation. The work offers evidence regarding the significant impact that religiosity has on attitudes towards the legalization of abortion, as well as the mitigating effect of ideology, region and education.
