Citizenship is a complex historical term, and its frame of reference changes together with political communities. Education is a social right derived from modern citizenship, but it also has an essential role in building the latter Studying the relationship between citizenship and education becomes progressively relevant as the world undergoes globalization: citizenship must be transformed into a dynamic term, capable of generating new consensus through an education that must include active participation, multiculturalism and new technologies.
