In this article we seek to contribute to the analysis of the phenomenon of Javier Milei as an emerging leader in Argentina. Our hypothesis states that this phenomenon responds to the encounter between anti-politics as a latent citizen sentiment and a strategic political discourse. The research combines two techniques, a survey and multimodal content analysis of Milei’s official TikTok account and satellite accounts created to give greater visibility to his figure. We observed that a large part of the citizenry has a negative view of “politicians’’ and that Milei’s discourse builds a myth based on his fiery rejection of “the caste”.
