Abstract

Argumented discussion does not necessarily produce a satisfactory colective deliberation. From the definition of features, effects, limits and bias of colective deliberation, the article states that a procedure in which contradictory arguments are exposed can institutionally improve deliberation, by introducing an epistemic value and an equity value not always present in pluralistic deliberation.
