Este dossier se planteó como una oportunidad para debatir la economía política del federalismo en Argentina, un país que enfrenta desafíos específicos que justifican un análisis particular. Aunque Argentina comparte con otras federaciones de la región, como Brasil y México, problemas derivados de profundas asimetrías regionales y el desigual acceso a servicios públicos a nivel subnacional, suma a ello un singular y complejo contexto macroeconómico. Una década de estancamiento ha debilitado su capacidad política para alcanzar los consensos necesarios en torno a las políticas públicas que podrían enfrentar estos desafíos.
