Abstract

The purpose of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, it aims to look into a particular way of analysis of political identifications. To this end, the paper points out four elements: the relative structurality in which identification emerges, the particular content that makes it different, the otherness from which it is distinguished and the promise of fullness that it holds. On the other hand, the paper aims to put into play this form of analysis in the revision of the identification processes that took place in the debates on the location of the capital of the Province of Chubut Constitutional Convention in 1957.
